Biography
Shakti Ratnam Adim joined Paschall & Associates with over eight years of Law firm and In-house intellectual property experience. Shakti is a Registered Indian Patent Agent. He worked six years as senior patent specialist at Honeywell International Inc. In his In-house experience, he handled patent drafting, prosecution, and analytics. Shakti handled a diverse patent portfolio comprising both renewable and petroleum technologies. He currently works directly with our attorneys in various jurisdictions for patent drafting and prosecution. Shakti also worked at the Indian law firm, R. K. Dewan & Co., for over two years and is well versed with various patent databases and search engines.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
At Honeywell, Shakti provided support to multiple businesses handling diverse patent portfolios. He collaborated with attorneys by drafting patent applications and preparing responses to office actions for various jurisdictions. Shakti trained new hires in prosecution and supported the intellectual property team on drafting and prosecution projects. Shakti presented various training sessions to Honeywell personnel on intellectual property, including comparative intellectual property laws across major jurisdictions, new technologies, patent timelines, invention disclosures and instructing inventors in responding to office actions.
Prior to Honeywell, Shakti worked for over two years at R. K. Dewan & Co in India. He has handled patent drafting, freedom to operate searches and preparing responses to office actions in the field of chemical, petroleum refining, petrochemicals, catalysis, energy, polymers, and biotechnology. He is very well versed in Indian patent law.
